Santa Monica 50K

See you in February!
Santa Monica 50K only had 38 participants this year.  Well marked course and friendly aid stations.  Mostly single track with a little fire roads.  About 7,00ft of elevation gain.  Blessed with great weather.

Chino Hills 50K

Stu on the move

Prickly

Chino Hills 50K in the books.  The race start was delayed an hour to 8am.  All race distances started at the same time.  4,000ft of elevation gain.  A couple steep climbs, but mostly rolling hills.  There was some confusion with the marking of the trail, but managed to stay on course.  Beautiful views and day.  Great volunteers and friendly environment.  There was pasta and drinks for the runners after the race.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first 100K.  The race was very well organized and went off without a hitch.  The weather was perfect and the aid stations were well stocked and had great volunteers!  There were some technical parts, about 10,000ft of elevation gain, and some great night running.  Stu paced me on the last 18.2 mile loop and did a fantastic job.  I would recommend this race.
