Mt. Baldy Run-to-the-Top

I would highly recommend doing this run. 7 mile race to the top with 4,000 ft of climbing. Final elevation is just over 10,000ft. The views alone are worth the hike. Mostly wide roads for the first 5ish miles, then narrows to single track for the last 2ish miles. Ran down to the car. There is a ski lift ride if you would rather skip the last 3.5 miles of downhill. There were 433 runners, the winner finished in 1:08:44.

Mount Disappointment 50K

Mount Disappointment sure lived up to it's name this year. With temperatures in the 90's, the race was a challenge for sure. The course was a 50-50 mix of fire roads and single track with some stream crossings here and there. The last 5 mile climb was brutal. The aid stations were very well organized and the volunteers rocked. The toughest part was managing your temperature, but the aid stations had plenty of ice for that. 63/101
